RE
Religious Education (RE) contributes to children's and young people's education in schools by provoking challenging questions about meaning and purpose in life, beliefs, issues of right and wrong and what it means to be human. Children learn about, and from, different religions and world views.
Parents have a legal right to withdraw their child from all or part of a primary school's compulsory RE lessons without needing to give a reason. Parents must notify us in writing of their intention to do so. During RE lessons, children who are withdrawn from this aspect of the curriculum will be supervised in another class within their year group and will complete the work that is set in the classroom alongside their peers.
